Boot up problems

I have recently reformatted my HD and re-installed win XP!
Only problem is i keep getting a blue screen! no matter
what mode i go into i get the same screen! i have to
restart my comp bout 5 times b4 it will lets windows load
up!

the error message:

STOP C000022\unknown hard erroe\system root\system32
\ntdll.dll

Can some1 please help me its driving me insane!
