Boot up problems

Hello

Ever since I've installed SP4 on my W2K PRO machine, at least 9 out of 10 times, my computer restarts itself automatically at boot up; all I see is a blue screen with some info which is flashed for like a micro second and then my computer restarts itself. I've tried uninstalling SP4 and this helps but the scare of security vulnerabilities prompted me to install it again

Any ideas on how to capture the messages in the blue screen that gets flashed and then disappears? Also, among all the different startup options, e.g. safe mode,...command prompt,...networking, etc. does anyone or any website has detailed information on the workings of each of these options

Your reponses and help in this matter is highly appreciated. Thanks

- Rob.

To be able to see the blue screen stop message; Control
Panel|System|Advanced|Startup and Recovery, I usually like to uncheck
"Automatically reboot" this way you get a chance to read the stop error.
