Boot sector

I got a problem with the boot sector on my computer. I
wanted to reformat and remove one of my HD to put it in
another computer. I partitioned, formated and installed
by booting with the Windows XP CD.

While I formated, for some reason that I ignore, it
installed the boot sector on the D: drive, and all the
other files on the C: drive. Now I'm stuck with a
computer that needs both HD to start : when I set (in the
bios) the boot drive as C:, it won't start. So I cannot
remove de D: drive.

I tried to run the recovery console and use the
command "fixboot c:"... it returned a message saying
something like "boot partition succesfully written on
C:". However, when I tried setting the boot drive (in the
bios) as C: and rebooting again, but it wouldn't work...
it returned a message saying something like "file NTLDRV
is missing".

So in brief, what I want to do is to make my C: drive
(the drive on which all the files are) independant by
making it able to boot my computer.

Please help
- Thx in advance!!
