Boot Problems

I installed norton antivirus and when it rebooted the computer stoped
booting.

I have run scandisk and virus check on the hard drive from another computer
and found a couple of errors and fixed them.

but I cannot reboot the message stays on for just a very brief moment and
reboots.

I have tried to run in safe mode and the same thing happens. is there a way
to restore the configuration files from before norton. I have gone into
recovery mode but cannot do anything like scanreg. can someone help with
this??

Next time disable your 79 background apps that you have running before
you run the install program, as it says to to in the docs and install
screens.
