boot problem

I have a 18 month old Dell and have never had a boot
problem till now. It starts up fine until the Dell blue
bios screen then goes to the " sorry for the
inconvenience". When I use any of the selections, it
restarts again and continues until the blue Dell logo
page, and goes to the "sorry for the inconvenience..."
selection page again. I'm fairly computer literate, just
tell me where to start to look. Thanks, Nick
