boot problem

Iam using windows XP home edition with sp2. Recently I reinstalled the windows.
Since reinstall the windows take a long time to boot up. A dos progression
bar appears on the screen end and it takes 15 minutes for its progression.
Then windows XP startup screen appears and everything works fine.

I have tried clean XP boot. And there are no errors in the eventviewer
during last bootup. Please help me.

Try to use BootVis application
(http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/BootVis.shtml).
This is a Microsoft tool which provides faster XP boot and resume times. it
can also help you to detect the problem of slow booting which can be caused
by some bad drivers.

Had a similar problem once and it was the Ethernet connection.

Seems like you forgot to install some drivers.
