Boot menu lost after hibernate

I have a dual boot dual xp system, and i use the boot loader menu to select
which operating system i want to boot. However, after hibernating one of the
systems, rather then shutting it down, the boot menu is no longer displayed
and the hibernated system resumes automatically after the next power up, thus
rendering th hibernation an inaffective way to switch between the operating
systems.

Is there a way to use the boot loader menu to choose between booting 2
hibernated systems?

Thanks,

trev wells

Not that I know of, because you are dealing with the very nature of
hibertation, which is saving a machine in the state it is in and coming back
to that state on power-up. And it stands to reason that the state you are
coming back to is a state waaaaay past the OS Selection menu, i.e. into a
running system that already selected the OS.
makes sense?
