Where do I find the boot.ini file in Windows XP home and
professional edition

Hi,

The boot.ini file is in your c:\ or in your systemroot dir.

This file is a hidden system file so you might have to change your folder
options to show the hidden system files.
Open up your Windows Explorer, and then go to Tools and then Folder Options.
And then click on the View tab, and then select select the Show hidden files
and folders under the HIdden files and folders section and also Uncheck the
Hide protected operating system files to see your boot.ini file.

Once you're finished doing what you need with the Boot.ini file you may want
to change the view settings back to the way they were before.

Chris:

This is where you should add the /noserialmice:

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect /noserialmice
