Will a system without any memory installed boot? I have one that
booted with some borrowed memory, but I returned the memory and when I
tried to boot the system just now without any memory, nothing
happened. Normal??

Yes. Normal.

'Booting' is the process of loading the O.S. into memory and without any
memory there's no place it to go.
