I recently purchased a third party CD to erase all files and records from an
old PC before I donate it to a charity. However, the instructions say to
"Boot the system from the CD. You may need to set the Boot Priority option
in your BIOS so you can boot from the CD".

How do I boot from the CD? and if necessary, how do I set the Booy Option in
the BIOS?

thx

Press 'Delete' on your keyboard when your computer boots up, or
'F2',(whatever it prompts you to do to get into BIOS), Then there is a
section for the boot order under BIOS settings, change the first item to be
booted to be the CD.
