Boot failure

When I'm using my pc, all of a sudden I heard some sounds
coming out from my pc, is quite similar like restart. (But
the odd thing is that it didn't restart)It causes my pc to
hang, I couldn't move my mouse, even when I press control,
alternate and delete also wouldn't work. Have to press
reset button and thought it will be okay by then, but I'm
wrong, it keep on hanging in regardless how many times I
reset. After resetting it display "We apologise for the
inconvience, but window did not start successfully. A
recent hardware or software change might have caused this"
and prompt me to choose either by going into safe mode or
load windows normally, and I select load window normally
but half way it hang again, so I have no choice but to
shut it down by pressing the power button.

Other than this, it also display "Boot failure, insert
boot diskette in A, press any key when ready." "Searching
for boot record from floppy not found" "Searching for boot
record from CD rom not found". Could it be incorrect
setting from Bios?

I would appreciate very much if anyone could help me to
resolve this problem as it has given me headache for the
past two weeks and I'm going to go hay wire soon........

Have you tried to reformat and still get the same
problem? Windows gets messed up after periods of time so
it's best to start from new by reformatting...
