When powering up HP Pavilion 9880C, power is initiated
but never completes. System never get through post, and
the PC makes a repiticous beep sound from the system
speaker. Does anyone know what this could be?

The BIOS on many systems will generate a BEEP CODE when
the POST does not complete successfully. See the
manufacturer's website or your owner's manual for
details . . .

In some cases it's simply a matter of the memory module(s)
not being seated correctly, or an expansion card who's
connection has come loose or has a bit of corrosion on
it . . .

Is this a new system ? Post back.

Good Luck !
