I run Vista and everytime I turn on my laptop, I get an error indicating that
the clock is at 00:00:00 and date is years back.
Once I set the time and date, the computer will work fine.
Is there a way to avoid this inconvenience every time I boot?
Thanks

This is normally caused by the CMOS battery on the motherboard needing
to be replaced. This is very easy to do on a desktop machine but since
you have a laptop, contact the laptop mftr.'s tech support for
instructions/repair.
