BOOT DISKETT?

Hello,

I need to be able to boot my XP computer to a Dos/command prompt where I
have access to both the diskett station and the CD device, beside the
harddrive. Is there no way to make the same great start diskett in Windows
XP as you could do in Windows 98 & Me (with CD support and all Dos tools)?

I know that I can boot the machine on the WXP CD, but then I will only be
able to install this version of Windows. I can not access the command prompt
to make other choices!

Hi,
In my opinion there is no better way, if you use fat32,
then a win98 boot disk. In winxp you can create boot
disks but then you need a I think 6 disks at least.

DOS does not exist in XP. If you want to boot to DOS with CD drives
enabled, go to www.bootdisk.com and download one of the Windows 98 boot
disks. If you want a dual boot scenario with Win9x & XP, then you will need
2 hard drives (or partitions), the first one being formatting to FAT32.
Install Win98 first, then boot from the XP CD and install that on the second
drive/partition...
