I am looking for a couple of good Microsoft Access 2003 book suggestions. I'm
not totally a beginner but far from an expert too. So I am looking for
something that is all encompassing that will also include linking tables
since we do a lot of work, even in Access, with SQL Server Tables.

I appreciate anything anyone can help me with.

Thanks!

1. "Access Developers Handbook" Published by QUE or Sybex (I forget
which)
2. Look at the MSPress Step-by-Step book(s) for Access
3. Then there are these:
http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/7107.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/2064.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/4232.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/4233.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/3354.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/2533.asp
http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/5022.asp
...You get the idea.

4. Since you have SQL Server in your environment, get the SQL Server
Books Online, what we call "BOL". These are the help files that ship with
SQL Server. You, or your Administrator can install them from the SQL Server
CD-ROM.
5. Subscribe to the newsgroup called
"microsoft.public.sqlserver.programming" and learn at the feet of the gods.

6. Learn about Visual Studio.NET "Database Projects" and Access "ADP
Files"
7. Download a trial edition of SQL Server or MSDE on your computer at
home to play with it after hours and bring yourself up to speed.

For a good grounding in relational database design, I recommend "Database
Design for Mere Mortals" by Hernandez . It's not an Access bood; rather, a
very good database book.
