Michael,

First of all, I wouldn't consider your question off-topic. On the contrary.

John Viescas has a couple of great books:
"Microsoft Office Access 2003 Inside Out "
"Building Microsoft Access Applications"

You won't go wrong with Steve's and Pete's suggestions; for a more
complete list check out the resources listed at a couple of excellent
websites:

Once you find something that addresses the MS Access-specific issues and start
writing VBA, I'd recommend "Code Complete" (author's name unavailable bc it's
sitting in a place of honor at my work desk...).

yeah.. what you should do is just download the free 'books online' from
microsoft

use access data projects and ask questions when you get stuck.

it's the best db book anywhere; and it's free--- even if you're only
using MSDE
