Book with question mark symbol

I am using Office 2003. When I copy from an outlook email & paste into
another email, I get a "book with question mark" instead of the text that I
copied. I don't understand???.
 
what format are you copying from and pasting into? do you get a menu if you
click on the book icon? does it work if you paste into notepad then copy and
paste into outlook?
