Bold System Text!!

P

Paul S.

Hello

I have a hp pavilion 511w running xp pro. Recently after
uninstalling a couple of avi splitting programs, and a
reboot, ALL of the text of my system is BOLD.

I've previously had this problem and was able to resolve
it using system restore.

I tried to restore my system to an earlier time about an
hour ago.. and I have only one restore point.. which is
AFTER the text went bold!

What do I mean by all my system text is bold? I mean My
system clock is in bold lettering, tool tips are in bold
lettering, URLs in web browsers are in bold lettering.
Filenames, directories.. you name it.

Has anyone had this problem before? Is there a fix for
this? Any and all feedback is appreciated!

o.O! I was JUST about to re-format my computer when I
thought, what the heck.. and went into my control panel,
opened up "accessability options" - clicked on the
display tab and changed the display to use high contrast
fonts for easy reading. My whole screen went to black and
green with huge lettering. I changed it back to normal
and voila... All my system text is back to normal!
