Bogus combo change events

I have a workbook with three Control Toolbox dropdown combo boxes. When I do
a File Save As (but not File Save), their change events fire. Neither the
LinkedCell or ListFillRange have any formulas in them. Calculation is set to
Manual.

Two questions:

1. Can anyone suggest what might be causing this problem?
2. Failing that, can you suggest a way that my code could differentiate
between a *real* change event and a bogus one?

Thanks.

Charley

Hi Charley,

What version of Excel you are using now? In Excel 2003, I haven't reproduced this issue. At the "save as" time, the change event is not raised. If it
is convenience for you, you can also send the file to me with your scenario information (Windows OS, Office version, service pack etc). I will test
this for you. My email address is: (e-mail address removed)(please remove the "online" which is used to avoid the spam mail).

I've tested the workbook in Excel 9, 10, and 11, with the same results.

Because you couldn't cause this problem to occur, I'll save the workbook as
a scratch file and then start to remove pieces of it. This will allow me to
find other aspects of it that contribute to the problem.

If I'm not able to find the problem, I'll send you the workbook.

Thanks.

Hi Charley,

Ok, if you are going to send me the file, it is appreciated to give me one detailed repro steps or some notes for this issue. This will help us to work on
this issue quickly. Then, after the delivering, please post back in this thread to let me know you have sent one mail to me, in case the delivering is
failed, I will give you one another email address.
