Hi,
Can enyone tel me what the BODMAS rule is in Excel? Exam question and I
cant find it in any books.

Thanks
Ant

Ant,

Searching Google for BODMAS revealed that it's a mnemonic for precedence of
operators (the order of operations, like multiply, add, etc.).

There's also Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally, to wit:

Parentheses
Exponentiation
Multiplication
Division
Addition
Subtraction

Your interpretation leaves the operation order ambiguous for
exponentiation. Earl Kiosterud's reference takes "O" to be "Order"
referring to exponentiation operators.

Yep you right, I also missed out D(divide) but like all acronyms they are
not meant to be accurate, just a guide.
