Friend of mine has reports on comp with w2.bobax.c (May 18, 04)

Installed KB835732 update.

Ran updated Norton AV and found 8 "infected" files.

Norton advised deletion of the files.

This was done... except one.

I asked them to find the directory and file. Norton found the dir and file
(path), but they cannot find it under C:\ path\path\path.

Is it hidden? Does Norton know what he is talking about? Is there
something about bobax that needs to be known here?

I've checked a few windows and symantec support files, but..... here I am.

any help,

thanks

p.s. they haven't updated system in quite some time.

Last I heard Peter bought a beach house in Hawaii and spends his time
sipping suds and watching the babes walk by. You can the back of his
head in the Corona Beer commercials.

Plato,

lol
Someone once said something about the stars and they're so far away that you
can't really see the true nature of them.

Well, whatever. all i ask of anyone is to live up to what they say they're
going to. and if they don't, then at least give me an EXTREMELY plausible
reason.

"...babes walk by...", "...back of his head...".....hehe

By the way: Hawaii might not be there, as we now know it, for too much
longer.

I appreciate your arrogance : ) (I have some of my own), but I've been
awake now for over 24 hrs trying to deal with a mal-putor that i can't touch
or see in the hands of someone who can't stop touching buttons.

All "infected" files were deleted except for one (~1.tmp). Is that the
punk?

Hi John,

I surely didn't intend for it to sound like arrogance. Is just that, I am
very comfortable dealing with the registry.

As for the .tmp file, delete all of them and also the System Restore points
if you haven't done so already.

Why? Did somebody buy it? Or did the movie _The day before yesterday,
tomorrow, the next day, anyday_ scare you?
