Why the heck is every font blurry in Vista?

Is there a way to fix this?

I assure you that's not normal for Vista. :)
What type of monitor do you have?
If it's an LCD, make sure your video card is running at the
native resolution of the LCD.

Gary, it's a HP f2304.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean with "video card running at the
native resolution of the LCD". How do I make sure of that?

I have not made any changes myself, is it possible Vista has when getting
installed?

Btw, everything else is very sharp, only text in f.ex Windows Mail where I'm
writing this.

Go to Control Panel / Cleartype Tuner and run that to adjust to what
you find best. It works wonders for me on my CRT monitor although it is
supposed only really to work with LCD displays.

If by any chance your version of VISTA does not have Cleartype Tuner
then you can either run it from the MS website or download it and run
it off-line.

Make sure your resolution is set to 1920 x 1200 for that monitor.

Try this , right click desktop>persoalize>adjust font size( dpi)>custom>
click to add a checkmark on box that says use XP type font scaling>
apply>OK> reboot machine.

As DevilsPGD already posted, your display resolution for that
monitor needs to be set for 1920 x 1200. Also, if it only looks
blurry in Windows Mail, try changing the font in Windows Mail:
Tools > Options > Read > Fonts...
I use Tahoma since it looks clearest to me.

If you decide you don't like that monitor, I'll be glad to take it off
your hands. :0)

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
