I have a Zire 72 palm. It has a built in bluetooth card. I want to be able to
connect to the internet and sync my PDA with my desktop. I bought a AmbiCom
Bluetooth wireless USB Adapter (model: BT2000C-USB)and tried to use it on my
pc but it didn't work. When I try and run it, it gives me this error:
“Your Bluetooth Software license does not include use with this Bluetooth
device. [6]â€
Any help on what I can do to get it to work? If there's nothing I can do
anyone know of a good bluetooth product that will sync and connect my Palm to
my PC?

Thanks

XPSP2 has bluetooth issues. Third party drivers don't seem to install
properly.

A quick bit of advice is to :
uninstall the drivers the manufacturer supplied (reboot if necessary)
then goto the Windows "Inf" directory...
....remove (or put somewhere safe) the bth.inf file.

Just to be on the safeside:
reboot;
(ensure bth.inf has definately gone),
then install your product's drivers.

I had this problem, and so far it has now seemed to adopt the third party
drivers!!

Good luck.

PS. Backup what I have said with a google search on "bluetooth xp sp2
problems"

Well, well, well. In my case I solved the (a) problem by not
installing the manufacturer-supplied drivers and using
WinXP's built-in support instead. What does removing the
bth.inf file do that allows your method to work, I wonder?
What are the risks, if any?

By the way, there are other bt*.* files in the same folder:

bth.inf
bth.PNF
bthpan.inf
bthpan.PNF
bthprint.inf
bthprint.PNF
bthspp.inf
bthspp.PNF
