Hi,
I'm using a WIDCOMM bluetooth device which I have never had problems with,
up until last week, when it has started misbehaving.
When I start up the computer, the bluetooth device is not recognised unless
I unplug it and then replug it in.
Please help!

Check and update the motherboard chipset drivers. If the chipset is a VIA
base chipset, you may need to install the USB filter driver that VIA also
provides for their chipsets

Check in Device Manager and loo at the USB section. Check to see that XP does
not "allow XP to turn power off" to Bluetooth's dongle USB port.

What other USB devices do you have? Your PC might not be able to provide all
the power required for the USB devices. A powered USB hub may help.

hi again,
this morning when i turn on my pc, instead of the bluetooth device not being
found, the mouse wouldn't work, unless i unplugged and then replugged.
dont know if these are related but i guess so.
by the way, the mouse is connected wirelessly but is going through usb to
ps2 converter.
