I'm trying to use a Jabra Bluetooth headset with my computer, which has a
Bluetooth communication button (Acer computer). However I've looked all over
the Control Panel (Windows XP) and cannot find Bluetooth Devices anywhere.
When I slide the Bluetooth communications button it does not detect the
headset (headset is on). Anyone know what to do?
Thanks

I have an ACER TM4060 Notebook, although it has a BT button BT isn't
present, perhaps this is true of your machine too ? check your
manual.
I had to purchase a USB dongle to communicate with my mobile phone.

I just bought a Bluetooth dongle to go with my phone which is a Sony
Ericsson K700i it doesn't seem to have any specific name just called a
Bluetooth USB Adapter and came with a CD to install the software Widcomm
drivers.

Need one? Or did someone just not teach you any manners? Mobile phones,
much less headsets, are technological workarounds to a social problem.
Phone should be the last resort method of contacting someone after email,
IM, or visiting in person have failed. The people around you don't want to
hear you scream half a conversation into a device strapped to your head,
the people you're calling don't necessarily want to get tied to a phone
just because someone's too lazy to pick a less interruptive, more polite
method of communication when something isn't burning down.

thanx, will check them out.
was hoping for one that had drives already available in XP Pro 32 and 64 bit versions.

He's a pea brain ;-)

Whoever you are, I see you omited to sign your little rant, anyway get
a life.
FWIW I use mine whilst driving my car between call outs etc, much
safer that holding a phone to ones ear - appart from it being
illegal here [OZ].

Use a GNKSA-compliant news reader and you can see the From: header clearly.

Do us a favor and try driving drunk instead. Studies show it's safer than
driving while using a phone, even with a headset. If you're driving, your
job is to drive, not talk on the phone.

It's illegal in Oregon, too. ORS811, driving while distracted.

Yep, still a pea brain.
