Bluetooth has dissappeared

I have a new notebook PC that is equipped with Bluetooth. I need it to set
up a com 1 or 2 port but cannot find in my Control Panel anything called
Bluetooth device or similar. Maybe I turned that service (?)
off when I first fine-tuned the new laptop but no longer recall whether I
did or not.

How do I find whatever I need to find to install a com port?

I am running XP MCE.

You need to know that the Bluetooth drivers need to be installed onto your XP
MCE.

Do you have a Bluetooth device in Device Management?

Does your PC have a switch or some Fn key that disables BT?
Can it be disabled in BIOS?

Do not think so. There is a wireless on/off key. Maybe I can call Toshiba
support and ask them for help.

When I first got my Dell laptop w/Bluetooth it worked fine. Now the device
seems to have been "unplugged" When I check, the device driver says it is
working properly-no problem there...what am I supposed to "plug in" ???
If you can help, thanks so much!
