I am getting frequent (daily or more) bluescreen shutdowns on a new (three
months) HP pavilion desktop. Some come when the machine is not in use and
some come when it is being used.

This message appeared at the last bluescreen:

Prior crashes had the same Locale ID but other values in the "Additional
information about the problem"

I am not very computer savy but know a little.

Please help!

HP covers hardware AND software problems via their Warranty(or should).
Demand that they fix it!

I have had 4 blue screen crashes/dumps in the last 2 days.
I reported it to HP but I failed to find the data to describe the
problem. I thought that I saw on a flashing screen as it was dumping
that it was a hard drive error but everything was flashing so quickly
that I couldn't see and record the problem properly and I missed the
detail on the reboot. But tonight on the 4th crash, I got this on the
reboot:

*problem signature:*
problem event name: bluescreen
os version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.768.3
locale id: 1033

*additional information about the problem:*
bccode: 100000b8

bcp2: 85bc6580
bcp3: a30bc000
bcp4: 00000000
os version: 6_0_6000
service pack: 0_0
product: 768_1
*files that help describe the problem:*

c:\users\jj\appdata\local\temp\wer-65676-0.sysdata.xml
c:\users\jj\appdata\local\temp\wer9452.tmp.version.txt

since i thought that it was a hard drive problem, i did checks from
different directions and found no hard drive problems. i went to norton
works and ran both norton disk doctor and norton win doctor, chkdsk and
set up (f10) full scan of the hard drive and not solved the problem:cry:

just as an asside, the only software that i have downloaded in the last
few days was through the vista op update and the hp total care software.

this blue screen also keeps dumping my computer, what is the solution to this?
what is causing this & how do I fix the problem, i have no idea what blue
screen is.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
