blue screen

Hi,

We have a laptop user that kept complaining of frequent
blue screens. For the life of her she could not get the
stop error number claiming there was none. When we have it
in our shop it does not blue screen. One of our internal
guys says that the pagefile could be writing to a bad
sector and that is what freezes the laptop. Could this be
true? Does Windows pagefile not avoid writing to bad
sectors on the hard disk drive?

Thanks in advance
David

You can easily verify this suspicion: Download & run the
hard disk diagnostic tool that every disk manufacturer
makes available on his home site.

Sounds like BS to me if the sectors are marked as bad. If they're NOT
marked, but still bad, maybe then.
Thanks in advance
