Blue Screen - uhcd.sys

R

Richard Ulmer

The machine stops everytime it is booted with the
following error:

STOP 0x000000D1
(0x00000015,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xEB74AB46)

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Address: EB74AB46 base at EB740000
Datastamp 3e25ba6e - uhcd.sys

Beginning dump of physical memory

I need help in resolving this issue. I have replaced the
copy of 'uhcd.sys' in the C:\WINNT\system32\drivers file
with the one in the C:\WINNT\ServicePackFiles\i386

Thanks

Are you able to boot into safe mode?

What devices did you recently install on your machine? I've seen cases
where the HP usb printer caused that crash (resolution is to download
updated drivers from HP).

HTH.
