Hi. I started having some kind of problem with my PC that I do not really
understand.

On two occations (when I was using MSN Messenger with video conference), I
got the blue screen that says Windows has
detected a problem and is shutting down to prevent damage. The error
message is a follows:
Stop:0x000000008E ((0xC0000005, 0xF09825C8,
0xEF68A810, 0x0000000000).

* tcpip.sys - address F09825C8 base at F097F000, Date stamp 43C7103C

I have run a virus check and nothing shows. I have not installed any
programs. The only installation done was the regularly Windows updates.
I would appreciate any help. Thanks, RReis

Thank you for your reply. I check the link before. I was not setting up
windows. The error does not say anything about
KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
The error is * tcpip.sys - address F09825C8 base at F097F000, Date stamp
43C7103C
Is that the same thing?!

Well, a blue screen now and then is just confirmation that you are
running a legit copy an MS Windows OS.
Stop:0x000000008E ((0xC0000005, 0xF09825C8,

However, if you really want to investigate stop messages:
