Blue Screen Stop Code 124

I am getting Blue Screen Error frequently on my computer.
The error details are as follows:
BCCode: 124
BCP1: 00000000
BCP2: 83E0D560
BCP3: B2000000
BCP4: 00000175
OS Version: 6_0_6000
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1

Here are the specifications of my PC:
- OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit Clean installation
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
- Motherboard: Intel DG965WH
- Memory: 2 GB (Crucial memory CT12864AA667.000 1 GB x2)
- Sound & Graphic: On board
- HDD: 200 GB SATA
- Additional Hardware: Maxtor 100 GB external HDD for backup, HP 6L Printer
with parallel port, modem card.
I have all the drivers updated, including the BIOS. Everything is up to date
including all OS updates.

What I have done so far:
1- Reinstalled the OS 3 times (Clean installation all three times)
2- Disabled on-board graphic card and installed an nVidia graphic card.
3- Used three different types of memory (RAM), on different slots and
different combination.
4- Replaced motherboard with same exact model.
5- Run Scan Disk and fix.
6- Run memtest86 to check the memory: Memory was fine.
7- Removed all additional hardware (printer, modem and external HDD).
None of the above has solved my problem and I was getting the same exact
BSOD. Finally I disabled the on-board Audio and that fixed my problem. So I
installed a Creative SoundBlaster card and disabled the onboard card from the
BIOS. But with the new card I started to get the BSOD again.
If anyone has any idea or clue on how to fix this error please let me know.

Disable the sound card, go to
http://www.creative.com/language.asp?sDestUrl=/support/downloads and find
Vista compatible drivers for your Creative card.

Thank you for your reply.
I have already done that. As I said I have used the latest drivers but still
getting BSOD. I used the Vista driver from Creative website.
Please let me know if you know of any other solution for this error.

Check tthe Bios to see if your Audio is set to Auto and disable it. You
can't use 2 Audio Devices at the same time, whether internal and one that
is installed in your PCI slot

card and disabled the onboard and my coputer does not has a sound and it is
working fine.
running Vista without sound is not fun at all.

Have you tried using the onboard Video instead and enable the the Sound
card.

Yes, as I mentioned in my post, I tried both on board and extra graphic and
sound card, still with the same problem.

In XP you can use both the audio onboard and the pci card. You switch
between them by going to the Control Panel and selecting
Sound...Sometimes you have to log out and back in, before they switch.

You may want to check out some of the Linux Live CD. It sounds (pun)
that you are having way too many problems with Vista.

OK, here is the updates.
I removed Ultimate 32bit and installed Ultimate 64bit and that has fixed my
problem completly. Now I have enabled my onboard sound card and everything is
working nice and smooth.

my understanding so far is that xp and vista does not format cd-rw and you
need to purchase software. Is this correct and if so will old software for
formating rw that i use with win98 work with vista.

Try disabling the second processor during installation. Worked for my
Toshiba install. Install all drivers from Toshiba website and restart.
Then re-enable second processor.

That was SO nice of you to post that! The folks you replied to have
been waiting OVER TWO YEARS for a fix!
