Blue Screen on WIN XP install

D

Doug Williams

I have trying to upgrade from W2K Pro, with SP 4 to XP. I
have get up to the 4th step, "Installing Windows" and I
get to 34 min left and then I get a blue screen. The
error is "DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_EQUAL."
The computer reboots, and goes right back into setup mode
and gets to the same point and blue screens again. I am
in a vicious loop.
At this point I would just assume go back to my stable
version of W2K, but I don't know how to do that.
My machine is a IBM Thinkpad with a 48gig HD, partioned,
with 4gig on the C: drive, and the rest on the D: drive.
C: is formated to FAT, so I can boot to it, and D: is
formated to NTFS and compressed.
When I boot to the C: drive in DOS, I see a bunch of
instalation files, I assume there must be something I can
do at a DOS command line to get back to W2K?

Any help you could provide would be GREATLY appreciated.
I am running out of options.

THanks

Doug
