I have the same problem, about once a day. I suspect a new wireless LAN
card(DLINK DWL-G650M), but not sure. Is it a IRQ issue and what can I do
about it?

My peripherals are:
Vista Beta 2 Build 5384
Intel Pentium M Processor 1500 MHz
768 RAM
40 GB HD with 25 GB free
NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 64MB

I kinda like Vista, but this issue is really making me unpatient

Here is some basic stuff about ndis.sys:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d..._7397fee0-2566-4d36-af7b-bbda787946d1.xml.asp

If you search the KB on "ndis.sys" you will find articles about Windows 2000
and NT having blue screens due to things like memory leaks resulting from
ndis.sys problems. That does not mean that your issue is a memory leak but
the related drivers are likely suspects. I suggest that you report the bug
with the MBC and follow the directions for including the memory dumps. If
you don't have the MBC, obtain it here:
http://windowsbeta.microsoft.com/vista/bugs.aspx?&build=0&sku=0

Wow that MBC doesnt really help me at all...I have been using it after every
crash, but will Microsoft ever help me out and tell me what is going on with
my system? I need tech support, and Microsoft is obviously not the place to
get it I guess...

Correct. Microsoft is not the place to get it. As it says on
GetReady\Windows Vista Customer Preview Program:

"Beta support policy
This is pre-release (beta) software distributed for trial and testing
purposes only. Microsoft does not provide technical support for beta
releases. Although formal support is not offered for this beta, we have
provided newsgroups to help answer questions you may have related to the
installation and use of Windows Vista Beta 2 (and RC1). To join or read
postings in these newsgroups, please visit
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com."

You are in the only location support is available and this is peer-to-peer.

If you hear from MS about your bug reports it will be to ask for your help
in further identifying the bug. A programmer may also give you advice, but
the purpose of the CPP is to improve Windows and programs that run on
Windows.

So you are my only route through Microsoft to tell them about my issues with
the beta release? Do you work for them or something?

I am an MVP, which means I do not work for them. How do you figure I am
your only route? You have the MBC to report bugs and the "sentiments" link
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/sentiments/default.mspx
to voice your opinions. Microsoft.com is full of other links to send emails
and contact Microsoft personnel, though these are not Vista specific links.

There is nothing but these newsgroups that you can get Vista technical
advice from. Microsoft does not guarantee that Vista will work for you and
do not stand behind the product in any way. They don't even take any
liability for what Vista may do to render your computer inoperable either.

During the development period there may not be an answer to one or more of
your questions. There may not be anyone in these newsgroups who can figure
out a solution to a problem you have. There may in fact not be an answer
except for Microsoft to identify the problem and engineer a solution to be
included in the final product.

The beta is not about us. It is all about the next release of Windows.
