Hi

I did a restore and the problem went away. I've since found out from
Symantec that this is a known problem with Ghost and SP2. They suggested a
fix which was to modify the boot ini by changing the /NOEXECUTE policy from
OPTIN to OPTOUT. I don't know what tjis means but I did as I was told but I
still have the problem. I'm now thinking I should ditch Ghost for a different
backup software. Might you be able to suggest a good one? And also, do you
think I should change the boot.ini settings to the way they were?

Jackie D I use Nero back it up. I would never use symantec for anything
(my personal opinion) How long has sp2 been out and they just give you
a fix for it now.

Change the boot ini. settings not if your going to use another program
to back up your files.

I couldn't agree more. Their 'fix' didn't do anything. Is Nero Back It Up as
easy to use as I'm told Ghost is?

Jackie D sorry have never used Ghost but I found Nero very user
friendly.

Acronis True Image is another option.
