Using Outlook 2002. I continue to get the same e-mail.... a zillion times.
Each time I get the e-mail its shows a different sender. No sense in Blocking
the sender; ...and that wouldn't stop it since the sender name changes. I
guess someon'e(s) Outlook e-mail address book was accessed...and I was in
them...and so this same message continues to be received. Is there a way to
Block the message?

You mean spam? Get a spam filter, and you will never see the message
again. Or ask your employer (or ISP) to activate spam filtering on the
mail servers.

Thanks.... I am using a Spam Filter....and it is set at the default level.
To move it higher will mean that its possible that some personal e-mails may
be blocked. The problem is, the same e-mail keeps coming, BUT, it comes from
a different sender/address each time....so I can mark the message to BLOCK
the sender e-mails, but that won't help because the next time the same e-mail
comes in sent by a different sender.

Build a rule based on the content of the message which you seem to be
implying doesn't change?

That's why I suggested to use a spam filter. You seem to use some rules
that block 'From:' addresses, which will *never* work. 'From:' and
'Reply-to:' addresses in spam are always forged, and they were not sent
"from" that address.

A good spam filter will identify the message as spam, irrespective of
the 'From:' address.

Can your recommend a good Spam Filter?

I went with creating Outlook Rules. I have created about 5 or 6 Rules based
on the Spam e-mails. The problem is, the Spam e-mails the Rule is Catching
is going into the Folder I specified....3 times. Its not a new E-mail, its
the same one because all is the same including the date and time. After I go
out for new messages I look at the Folder I specified that the Rule Spam
e-mails should move....and I see several Spam e-mail in the Folder, and as I
wrote, 3 times. I don't see any of the rules I created having duplicate
Specified words so I don't understand why the Spam e-mails are going into the
Specified folder...3 times. Thoughts? I realize I can elect to Delete these
messages but felt it best to monitor them for awhile to be sure the rules
were not catching Non-Spam E-mails.

I'd make sure each of the rules has the 'and stop processing more rules'
action, just to be sure, because it really sounds like either:

a) You're getting 3 copies of the message.
b) You're getting 3 copies of every message which I doubt, since you'd
probably have mentioned
c) There really are three rules that are applicable to the messages, so
you're getting each rule acting against the message.

Thanks, I'll try that. But still another thing takes place. With the rules
created when I delete an e-mail (one that is not spam) out of my Inbox.....I
see that e-mail in my deleted folder and in the "Specified" Folder that I
created to have the Rule(s)/Spam e-mails going to.

This is getting a little confusing......Not only are the e-mails I delete
from my Inbox going into my specified Folder (and I did modify each rule to
"Stop Processing More rules"), now NEW messages I send are going into the
Specified Folder. The 1st window that opens when creating a rule, I use
Template.....but there is a list of options but none have a Block to check
off to use. Is this perhaps a window that I should select something? Which
one...and its selected by highlighing ome? When I do that I get a message
that reads this will disgrad previously specified information. I must be
making this difficult.....it seems the process should work without all these
problems.

I had 6, none had the same "specified" word(s). I Deleted them all yesterday
because it concerned me that, I was seeing mulitpiles of the same Spam
e-mails go into the "Specified" folder I created, and, when I deleted
non-Spam e-mails they also went into the "Specified" Spam Folder. I would
like Rules to work, but so far my experience has not been good.

Ok, since we're back to basics, lets start with a single rule.

Create one just for handling one of the spam messages.

It should include the 'And stop processing more rules' action. Then, test
that rule by sending yourself a message that matches the rule from an
outside account. If it works, then lets create a second rule, and so on.

I've used outlook for a long time, and have had a large number of rules
(enough to often hit the size limit) and have neve rhad a problem that
wasn't effectively my own fault.

OK, I have made some progress.....one at a time as suggested. Several rules
are working fine.

There are some Pharmacy ADs e-mail that the rules I created are not
detecting the message. one comes in Bold Print, Red and Blue color. In the
Body of the message is "Canadian Pharmacy". I used "Specified Words in body"
Canadian Pharmacy ...but this e-mail does not get detected by the rule I
created? Suggestions? The other is also regarding medicine from Canadian,
the Print is slanted.......I tried using Specified words......it also was not
detected by the rule I created...suggestions?

Is the text in the message actually text and not a picture? Might there be
spaces? Does it read any differently if you copy and paste the text into
notepad?

Although the Text in the Body of the e-mail is nothing but written words...it
must be a picture because when I tried to Copy to paste it into Notepad....I
got the 4-way arrow and small boxes at the edges of the entire message.

I have several e-mails that come in like this....is there a way to create a
rule to catch this type of Spam e-mail?

Are you actually able to highlight individual letters in the word? I mean,
that's the best way to know if it's a graphic or not. And your best
solutions is really going to be to get a better spam filter, as someone said
before.

Definitely Text......Spaces between words varies; within Text is the Canadiam
Maple leaf symbol. I tried to copy and paste into Notepad.......but it would
NOT paste into Notepad. When you go to copy the text\picture...you get the
4-way Arrow with small boxes at edges which is indicitive of a picture. I
tried copy and paste several times.....when I open Notepad PASTE was
Darkened.....but nothing happens.
