Blaster Worm - RPC

I have removed the blaster worm with the patch but I'm
getting a Remote Procedure Call when using the internet. I
did not change the setting intially & I'm unsure what i
should change the 1st, 2nd & subsequent failures back to.
Anyone any ideas

1.did you install the rpc dcom patch first.
2 did you use the correct virus removal tools using the
correct removal instructions?

What patch?
The patch from Microsoft is preventative and does nothing for an
already infected computer.
