Blank URL's after SP2 insatllation PLEASE DON'T IGNORE

After upgrading to SP 2 several Internet enabled programs are displaying
blank URL's in the address bar. Windows media player, Spysweeper, office
update. What the deal. I get a blank explorer window. These are intertnet
links within these progams. IE 6 by itself works fine.

Suggestions?

The only solution currently available is to use nothing but Microsoft
Products. In SP2, Microsoft decided to stiffle competition by blocking
non M$ progs from running correctly.

I use non Microsoft products wherever possible which requires no activation.

I use Netscape 7.2 as my default browser which has everything I need for my work.
