Occasionally when I reboot the computer I see the whole boot up process
including the Windows XP boot-up screen. However, after that all I have is
a blank screen. I know the system has fully booted, because if I use the
TV-out I can see the desktop on the TV. This says to me that the video card
has been initialized and is functioning... just no output to the monitor.

Does anyone know why it does this? It doesn't happen all of the time...
maybe about 10-15% of the time. And, I've had it happen with both VGA and
DVI outputs to my LCD screen.

Thanks.

I have had this problem with the 3.9 and the 3.10 drivers where they would
not activate my LCD monitor in digital mode but work fine in analoge mode.
So i switched to the Omega drivers and have not had this problem since.

Thanks. I just totally uninstalled the old ATI drivers and re-installed the
Omega ones. We'll see what happens.
