Blank Screen during "Find"

When I click on "Edit " and then "Find" the "Find" dialogue box comes up but
the screen behind it goes blank and I can no longer see the document I'm
working in. When I cancel the "Find" action, the document reappears on the
screen.

If you are running Norton AV, try disabling the Office plug-in (Options >
Others) that is activated by default when you install it.
It might do the trick!
