Black screen overlaying document durinf "Find"

When I click on "Edit " and then "Find" the "Find" dialogue box comes up but
the screen behind it goes to black and I can no longer see the document I'm
working in. When I cancel the "Find" action, the document reappears on the
screen.

Sounds like a video driver/video memory type problem. Have you rebooted
your computer lately? Is the computer quite old? If not, try updating your
video driver with the latest file (should be able to be downloaded form the
website of the monitor manufacturer).

If you are using Norton AntiVirus, disable its Office Plug-in.
