Blank Screen at Startup

I know some about computers and have owned a few different ones in the
past years. I recently just bought a dell dimension C521 with Vista.
Right from the beginning when i turned the computer on, the screen
would show the green startup bar at the bottom then it would blink,
the mouse pointer could be seen for about two seconds and then it went
blank. I know it is not the screen and when i called Dell Support
they made me go through about two hours of troubleshooting to no
success. After that first day it started booting up fine. A few
times it did it again i just turned it off and on and it would work.
Yesterday it went blank but did not want to work after i rebooted the
computer. I called them again and they still have no solution for
it. Now it is obviously working fine. Any Suggestions.

If I had recently bought the Dell - Dell would now be "eating" that
machine and I would have a new C521!

Send it back for repair/replacement before it breaks permanently and/or your
warranty expires.
