Blank Screen after sign-in

Intermittently I get a blank screen after log-in, just a cursor, then have to
shut down and try again, then seems to boot ok, sometime it takes 2 or 3
times, then sometimes it boots ok for a week, New Gateway running Vista
Premium any reason for this? Have Dual core Intel processor. McAfee
Sercurity, running a few gadgets,

Advise was to do a Alt-Control-Delete and stop explorer.exe and then run
explorer(from a person that seen same condition on his computer) this worked
and was the work around but is anyone working on fix? Why New explorer can
stop computer from loading? let me know, Mark K

After doing the alt-control-del it does work,but I cant use explorier to get
to the internet ,until I restart.( wont open a page, takes really long time
then times out) some ppl have told me there a problem with the new browser
and to go back to 6 have you heard anything on that? , thanks for info on IE
add ons I try that

Hi,

There's nothing wrong with the browser, and you can't use IE6 in Vista
anyways. Check the addons and the registry key I listed first.
