Blank Emails--NO BODY text sending or receiving

I don't think I am experiencing the same problem others are reporting about
completly blank emails because mine actually have subjects, and senders, but
when I open them there is no body text. I also have sent a few messages from
Outlook 2007 beta and those don't have body text either--both once I check
them in my sent items folder and when the recipient actually gets the
email--its body is blank.

I am running Avast, but stopping all the different modules and turning off
the 'on-access scanner' didn't change anything.

Any suggestions?

This worked in OE6; I don't know whether or not it works in Windows Mail:

From http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/blnkmess.htm

Several possible causes and therefore several possible fixes:
1. Go to Start | Run and type
regsvr32 inetcomm.dll
and press <Enter>
If this doesn't work carry out step 6 and then repeat this step.
2. Go to Tools | Options | Read | Fonts and set Western (ISO) as the
default.
3. Clear Temporary Internet Files and the Temp folder.
4. Turn off email scanning in your anti-virus.
5. Someone else reported that re-installing OE using the last method in
this article fixed the problem:
How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows
XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318378
Method 2 works on earlier versions of Windows.
6. Eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem try step one
(regsvr32 inetcomm.dll) again.

You mean it's a bug that the text isn't coming through, right?
Cause it's not a bug that I am receiving legitmate emails--I mentioned this
is not the same as the problem everyone else seems to be having.

I don't want to delete them. I want to get them in their entirety.

No. It's a bug that they appear at all is what she means. They aren't real
messages. There IS no text to see.

I am receiving these blank emails as well, and I do not believe that they
aren't real messages, as most of the ones that are blank are from Microsoft,
and they are newsletters and, say, my horoscope, that I signed up for in
hotmail. I receive them every day, and they do appear correctly in hotmail.

But I don't want to just delete them. I'd like to read them.

go back to the source where you signed up and turn off the HTML option.

Thank you, mikeyhsd, I'll try that.

However, I do receive some emails from Microsoft that are HTML and come
through fine. AND, imho, MLMD should be able to show emails that come in
HTML, no? Gmail does it, Yahoo does it.

Anyway, thanks for the tip. I'll give it a go.
