Blank Disk?

When I try to burn music onto a CD using any program (Windows Media Player, Real One, etc) it will go through the steps, ask for a blank CD and when I put on in it doesn't recognize it. It continues to tell me to put a blank disk in. I use CD-R disks. I have a Sony DVD-RW DW U12A. I've tried both Maxell and TDK CD-R disks. It worked before but now it doesn't. What's up?

Doesn't work. When I try to burn with Windows Media Player I get the error :0xC00D11C9. I have also tried using other programs such as Mix Meister Express 5 and Real One. Still nothing.

This is what it says in the MP9 help file:
0xC00D11C9: Cannot copy files to recordable disc
Windows Media Player cannot copy the files to the recordable disc. You may encounter this error message for one of the following reasons:

a.. The CD-R or CD-RW drive is busy. Wait for the drive to complete its current operation, and then try again.
b.. The CD-R or CD-RW drive is not compatible. Verify that the drive is connected properly and that you have installed the latest device drivers, and then try again.
To verify that the drive is compatible and to download the latest device drivers, see the Windows Hardware Compatibility List at the Microsoft Web site.

Error ID = 0xC00D11C9, Condition ID = 0x00000000
Web Help

Have you tried disabling "enable CD recording on this device" on the properties (recording) page of the drive? Most burning programs disable it, so leave it that way. Also have no more than 1 (one) UDF (drag & drop for CD-RW) recording program installed.

Check all your wires and jumpers connected to the drive. May sound too simple, but try it.
