Big problem.

Was using a friend's computer running on WIN 2000 and
after the system crashed once, I can no longer boot up to
windows normally.

Everything starts and loads up normally but once the
wallpaper appears, the icons and taskbar do not appear.
Right-click does not work.

I've tried to boot up to safe mode, but the icons and
taskbar do not appear as well.

Can anyone please tell me how to fix this or any idea
what's wrong? I need to rectify this before my friend
gets back!
