blackness in movie maker

2nd post, I had it wrong in my last post, the movie clips
I'm using are MPEG's, they work just fine in other movie
making programs and they do play in windows media player,
however in MS movie maker all I get in a black screen
when I import them for editing...Help??? thanks
 
Playback/importing of MPEG2 content is completely dependent on the third
party MPEG2 decoder installed on your computer. Most do not work well. See
the Importing Source Files > Video > MPEG2 page of my website.
