black square instead of text

A client of mine has purchased from us Windows XP, and it
came with office XP. I transferd her old documents from
her old PC made with either 2000 or 97 I dont remember,
any way when she opens up some documents the text has
been replaced with a big black square. Has anyone heard
of this before? It does not occur on all the documents.

Did you look at the fonts installed on the old PC compared to the new on?
