Black square icons in tray

Some of the icons in the icon tray in the right corner of
my Windows XP Compaq Presario X1000 have been loading
recently as plain black squares instead of actual icons.
They will load their associated program if you double-
click them, but you have no idea what the squares are
unless you rollover them and see the pop-up. Why is this
happening and how do I fix it? Thanks.

Do a search for Adaware or SpyBot, both free spyware
removal programs.

Hi!
1] Scan your system with latest virus definitioned antivirus.
2] Run Spybot and if there is any spyware delete it.
3] Download PowerToys it has Icon repair option.
