Black screen after low-power state?

I've had windows vista rc1 (build 5600) installed for two days now, and I'm
still having some issues. E.g. when I put vista in the low-power state
(standby) and then start up again, it just gives me a black screen and only
displays my pointer. When I browse the screen with my pointer a bit, I'm
eventually able to find the text box for my password. When I log in again,
everything looks normal. Also, windows vista doesn't always respond normally
when I switch resolutions. Often it gives me a weird looking screen with only
horizontal and vertical lines (but after I log off and on, it looks normal
again). I'm running on an AMD turion 64 and an ATI Mobility Radeon 128 mb,
running the latest drivers. Anyone have a solution for this problem?

It's fixed in RC2 and for sure in RTM

Download a copy of RC2 (5744) it's as near RTM as you can get

Yes, but isn't there a patch of some sort to solve this problem? I would have
no problem downloading rc2, but it would take an awfull long time (not to
mention what it would do to my monthly download limit) and I've also heard
that it isn't sure that rc2 will be upgradeable to the full version of vista.

Yes, the same with RC1, there's no telling what beta code could be left over
and what problems it could causes at a later date. Troubleshooting
something like that would be extremely problematic.
