Black Desktop

This just started to happen. Boot Vista get a black desktop, the taskbar is
there, but black desktop. Click Show desktop and all is ok. Open a program
and close it and the desktop is black again. Anyone seen this?
 
I just got my first black desktop while rebooting after installing a new
hardware card..I think it was a resource issue..seems to be better now..will
keep you updated.
